Spring is finally here! And what better way to welcome the new season than with a cherry blossom viewing party in the local park? The Japanese call it
花見 ("Hanami": literally, "flower viewing") - it's a traditional custom where people get together with their friends for a picnic under the cherry blossom trees. Omoriyama Park here in Ainan is a particular haven this time of year... with over three-thousand cherry trees in full bloom, it was raining petals. Now, this time I really will let the photos do the talking. Enjoy!
